It's Our 17^th Annual Excellence in Education Awards! Join Us!

The Stamford Public Education Foundation is thrilled to be celebrating the power of public education by bringing together community members, corporations, school administrators, teachers, parents, and other nonprofit agencies. The evening features a networking reception with a silent auction, musical performance, delicious hors d’oeuvres that are paired with specially selected wine and beer, and, of course, the award ceremony. 

This year we are proud to present the following awards honoring leaders in education, volunteerism, and community giving:

    SPEF Leadership Award: Susan Nabel (posthumous)

    We are honored to recognize Susan, who was a champion for Stamford Public Schools and its students, serving as a member of Stamford Board of Representatives and the Board of Education. 
    She was a longtime member of SPEF’s Board of Directors and a dedicated volunteer mentor who loved guiding our middle school students. 



SPEF Community Giving Award: Viking Global Foundation
We are so thankful for our partnership with the Viking Global Foundation. With its hands-on approach to making a positive impact in our Stamford community, Viking has generously supported SPEF’s early education programming, which serves the district’s youngest learners. In addition, Viking and its employees have engaged with SPEF in a variety of volunteer initiatives, including raising funds for book distributions and filling kindergarten-ready backpacks. 


       SPEF Educator Award: To Be Announced   
       Stamford Public Schools educators are nominated by their Parent-Teacher Organizations. The winner is selected by SPEF’s Board of Directors and announced at the event. Who will it be? 

All proceeds from the event benefit SPEF’s educational programs, delivered to students in Stamford's public schools.
