Thank you to all who attended SPEF's 17th Annual Excellence in Education Awards! We were thrilled to gather 200 registered attendees at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa where the evening featured a bright networking reception, an exciting silent auction, wonderful musical performances, delicious hors d'oeuvres paired with specially selected wine and beer, and, of course, the award ceremony. Heartfelt thanks to our Top Sponsor, NatWest!

We were honored to recognize friends of SPEF with the SPEF Leadership Award and the SPEF Community Giving Award, which recognizes those who serve the Stamford community and go above and beyond in support of public education. In addition to those two awards, we announced the winner of the SPEF Educator Award, Hart Magnet Elementary School's Patrice Moore! Patrice has demonstrated dedication to enhancing student learning with enrichment, embracing community collaboration, demonstrating a commitment to professional development, and supporting the greater Stamford community. Congratulations, Patrice!

Summer Start Registration is Open!

Registration for SPEF's Summer Start program is live! Summer Start is a FREE 5-week, half-day program for children entering the Stamford Public Schools (SPS) who have not had a complete preschool experience. With recent news that President Joe Biden signed a package including $200,000 for our Summer Start program, we are excited to have another great year of preparing students for Kindergarten!

Save the Date: Tee Off for Education!

SPEF's Golf Tournament, Tee Off For Education, is back! Join SPEF on Thursday, June 13th at Sterling Farms Golf Course for a fun-filled afternoon! Enjoy lunch, showcase your golf skills at our scramble tournament, and come together afterward for an awards reception and a fantastic auction! With your generous support, our programs can reach new heights in educating and empowering Stamford’s next generation!

It’s been an honor to witness the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to preparing and inspiring students to thrive.
