Near & Far Aid is an all-volunteer organization that makes a positive impact on thousands of people in Fairfield County by granting over $1 million a year to well-vetted local agencies targeting poverty and changing lives. UConn Trip

Last month, SPEF took a group of Career Connected Mentoring students on a memorable visit to the University of Connecticut’s Stamford campus. The trip provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore the campus, interact with current students, and learn about their experiences as first-year college students. Additionally, the students heard from members of La Comunidad Intelectual and Dr. Sealey-Ruiz on career paths in education. This is just one of the many ways SPEF is helping students prepare for their post-secondary futures.
