SPEF's "Tee Off For Education" is Approaching!

SPEF's second annual Golf Tournament, Tee Off For Education, is coming up! Join SPEF on Thursday, June 13th at Sterling Farms Golf Course for a fun-filled afternoon. Enjoy lunch, showcase your golf skills at our scramble tournament, and come together afterward for an award reception and a fantastic auction! 

Golfing isn't for you? Purchase reception tickets to join the fun after the golf is done.

New and Noteworthy at SPEF

SPEF Awarded Grant From M&T Charitable Foundation!

SPEF is pleased to announce the receipt of a $7,000 grant from its long-standing philanthropic partner, the M&T Charitable Foundation. This grant will help SPEF continue to deliver its Stamford Mentoring program to students in grades 3-12. The Stamford Mentoring Program runs from October to June and provides students with the resources and guidance necessary to be successful. Thank you, M&T Charitable Foundation!

Books Across Stamford at the Police Activities League Center!

SPEF is excited to be hosting its next Books Across Stamford event on Saturday, June 22nd at the  Stamford Police Activities League (PAL) Center! In collaboration with the Ferguson Library and the PAL Center, the book giveaway will include a special read-a-loud from the Chief of Police. There will be arts and crafts and snacks available. Join us to kick off summer reading on June 22nd!

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! SPEF extends its heartfelt gratitude to all of the incredible teachers and educators that support students in the Stamford Public Schools system. Your work helps shape the minds and hearts of students, fostering growth in our community.

End Note: Summer Start Registration is Open!

 

Do you or someone you know have a child who hasn't had a full Pre-K experience? SPEF's Summer Start Program can help. Starting on July 1, Summer Start provides a FREE five-week, half-day program for children entering Stamford Public Schools (SPS) who have not had a complete preschool experience.

Each year, over 1,300 new students enter the Stamford Public School (SPS) district. Kindergarten plays an important role in shaping these young learners. SPEF's Summer Start program ensures each child has the opportunity to enjoy a safe, fun, and nurturing Pre-K learning experience that fosters positive social-emotional learning and other skills necessary to succeed in Kindergarten.
