New and Noteworthy at SPEF

 Become a Mentor

SPEF is seeking volunteers for our Traditional Mentoring Program in Stamford’s middle schools!

Past mentors know the impact of providing students with a consistent, caring adult relationship. Mentoring takes just one school period, once a week at Rippowam, Dolan, Cloonan, Strawberry Hill, or Turn of River Middle School.

By becoming a mentor, you’ll help students navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and build a strong foundation for their future.

Community Leadership Mentoring Kicking Off!

We’re excited to launch our Community Leadership Mentoring Program in partnership with the University of Connecticut and Hart Elementary School!

This initiative empowers students through mentorship, literacy, and community engagement.

Stay tuned for stories and updates from our first sessions

Thank You for Joining us at the SPEF 5k Walk & Run

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us on September 28!
Because of you—our runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners—the event was an incredible celebration of health, community, and education.

Your energy, spirit, and support help SPEF continue to provide programs that empower Stamford’s students and families all year long.

We couldn’t have done it without you!
